Easter

So here is our Easter post. We really didn't do much besides relax and spend time together and with family. Jesse woke up on Easter to his first Easter basket, but we didn't do an egg hunt because I knew he wouldn't understand what was going on. So here is a few pictures, including his cute church outfit.

When he figured out candy was inside the eggs, he stepped on them and
then put them in his mouth, foil and all. what a little booger!

This was the only picture I could get of him before he HAD
to have the camera. He is quite the stubborn little thing lately!
Today he has been on time-out for pulling open the door on the entertainment
center when I told hime "NO!" He was on time-out three times! ARGH! :)

Here are a few other of his favorite things:

Playing on the computer he can barely reach..... and playing in time-out like he did nothing wrong. Little stinker. :) Update on moving-we have had several leads on tenants in our house. I am glad that I worked for a property management company because I know the ins and outs of renting. We have a lease and an application so we are ready! We have several people coming to look at it in the next few days. I sure hope one works out. Brent (andy's brother) has cleaned his room and bathroom so it is a space that I can live with. :) So andy has ten days off and hopefully he gets some progress done on moving. We will see. Until later!

Moving

So we are finally making some big changes in our lives. Right now we are in the process of looking for a renter for our house and we are moving up to Mountain Green with Andy's parents for a few months. Now at first I was a little wary of moving in with the in-laws but I think I can look at is positively since they like me more than andy :). But we are moving in with them to decrease some debt before we have to move to Oregon. I will finish up with all of my schooling (besides student teaching) on August 14th, and we will be moving to Oregon, hopefully, September. I am VERY much looking foward to moving to Oregon. I am sad to leave many wonderful friends behind, but no goodbyes yet. I have many months of summer left to go on picnics and park walks. So this is just a pre-warning for those of you who are a little attached to me. haha :)

Andy as a baby

I had to put this up because I love this picture.
The more Jesse grows up the more he looks like
Andy. One of these times I will find one of my
baby pics and put them up.

Bottle problems

So I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to wean Jesse from his bottle. I have tried replacing them with sippies, giving him less milk, and just quitting cold turkey. It's hard because I know that it is mostly just a comfort to him before he goes to bed and when he wakes up. He is no dummy though- if I come into his room to get him out of bed and I don't have a bottle in my hand, he won't let me take him out. And he throws wicked tantrums. I need some advice because at this point I will try anything!! Oh and he has been sick so it makes it that much harder. Thanks for listening to my pity party! But seriously, help???

Growing up!

So we have started something new this week-
and all because Jesse refused to let me help
him with ANYTHING anymore. I give him my
hand to walk with, he shrugs it off. I give him
a spoon to eat with, he throws a tantrum. So
here are some pictures of me FINALLY giving
in and saying- fine, do it yourself. He was pretty
please with himself.

(Notice more of the applesauce is on his
bib and face than actually went in his mouth)

And I couldn't resist this- there is nothing
like his cute little naked bum. :)

He is getting so smart! If you turn your volume up for this video, you
can hear him imitating the pig. He also does a sheep noise, but
he went camera shy or something! Enjoy :)

Favorites

I decided to just write down a few of my favorite things. Sometimes I like to do this to remind myself of how lucky I am to living with so many blessings. One of my very favorite things to do is to find a good book, curl up under a blanket, sit in my favorite chair and read for hours. I can't explain how much I long to do this each day but, alas, how busy I am. Oh and did I mention I need some recommendations of some good books? Another one of my favorite things is to lay down on the floor next to Jesse as he is playing and just watch him. Lately he loves to attack me with kisses as I am laying on the floor next to him. I simply cannot complain about that! Since I don't want to spend three hours typing up my favorite things I will leave you with one last thing. My very favorite thing in the world is to stand on a beach, hear the ocean's soft rhythm, feel the wind in my hair and the sand in my toes, and it washes all my worries away. I am feeling very poetic today. Maybe I will write a poem. Take some time to think about your favorite things in life and maybe, like me, it will give you the feeling of how blessed you are for the simple pleasures in life.

Walking at last!

It is so cold outside, but when I get him into the car,
it is so hard to buckle him in!! He doesn't seem
to mind it too much though :)

Here is my husband doing a great job of shoveling the
side walk. It snowed A LOT!

He was happy about something, but I don't know
what. I just can't deny him anything when he grins
at me!

What, this isn't normal?

Just hanging out, reading a book and playing with toys...
actually what he likes to do is take all the toys out!
So here he is! My big boy is FINALLY walking! We are so
excited and he is sure excited. He is really getting too big!
He has been standing on his own for a while and it was been
so neat to see his transformation from that to walking. Andy
was persistent in getting him to walk, and when he finally did,
Andy wasn't even there! And we weren't even home. We were
at Cicily's house and he just up and walked clear across the
living room! I couldn't believe me eyes!
