November into December

Here is our lovely fake little tree. We are actually
grateful for it because without it we would have no
Christmas tree! So here is us decorating it. Well only
one picture and then the finished product, but it was
was fun. Andy didn't do a bad job this year!

Ta da! It's done

Here is a lovely little mess Jesse likes to
make everyday. I put all the videos on the bottom so that he can't
get at my books. He sure likes to make messes!

And here is my little man looking out the window
He likes to be read to

And we are starting him on veggies early. (I wish
I had gotten the face he made afterwards)

He was trying to find what we were crunching!
We had a ton of leaves to rake up so we took andy outside
to do it with us. He was all bundled up
and looked pretty cute!

until next time! Jesse has learned to dance- video to come soon!

Happy Halloween!

For Jesse's first Halloween he was a turtle
pretty cute turtle eh?

We went to great grandma and grandpa's house
and had dinner and saw everyone.
We also learned that Christina, Andy's sister,
is expecting her first. CONGRATS to her!

My Little Mischief maker

Jesse has always been photogenic! Thank goodness.
He always wants to be right up in whatever I am doing
and most of the time i don't mind. Except that he is getting
into everything and eats everything! Here are a few of his latest
feats:
smearing food in his hair
Standing up in the crib

This was just a funny face i liked.

Uh-oh. You caught me!

Jesse is starting to act like his dad- he likes
to make funny faces

Jesse is really starting to get around, and here
is how good he is getting at pulling himself up

I Love him making him laugh!

Jesse's First Haircut!

It's time for the first haircut! He thinks
he is pretty excited.
He was squaking at himself in the mirror
before his haircut. He had never seen himself
before in a full length mirror and he thought it
was pretty cool.

what the?

uh i don't think i like this anymore
dad- save me!
clinging for life to dad's shoulder

well i am dumb and forgot to take an after pictures.
But it was cute and a very good haircut

Jesse

Auntie Katie came to visit, and Jesse
had fun
We like meal time! (If you can't tell)
His new favorite toy. I don't know what he has more
fun doing- playing with the toy or standing up by himself.
I found something to pull myself up on!
Sunday! Our new outfit.

Circle Quilt

I will make this easy for everyone that has asked about the circle quilt. Here is the link for a tutorial I found on somebody else's blog. So it's not professionally written, but I think you will find it helpful! Have fun. Oh and I finished mine, I just yet to take pictures of it, seeing as how Jesse is asleep with it around him right now. :) (it took me 2 days total to do! Easy and affordable!)

Quilting

I got this idea from Jami's blog so I hope she is
not mad at me for stealing her idea. It was really easy!
This is going to be Jesse's quilt.

Now don't judge my imperfections too harshly. I kinda like that the cirlces are not perfectly aligned, and that some of the squares are not perfectly on. This quilt took me one day to make and I like it very much :)

Johnny Jump Up

He just likes to jump.

Random Jesse pictures

I borrowed a Johnny Jump up
and Jesse LOVES to jump up and down. I was
going to put on a video but it was too long. Maybe
for my next post....
He loves his bath time- the water is always being
splashed OVER my head. But i love it too

Jesse was entertained by a pop can for
about half an hour. He is strong enough that
he can crinkle the tin and the noise
sets him off growling
want some?
this is my model pose...
Cute outfit- the hat makes him look like a
little girl, but I like it :)

Jesse started Army Crawling this week! As you can see in
this video, we need to start babyproofing the house...SOON!

Andy's Clam Chowder

I know a lot of people have asked for Andy's clam chowder recipie. Well here it is. and if you have not tried it, then you should. It is not too hard..but is fattening just to warn you!

Andy's Clam Chowder:

2 C. Celery
1 med. onion
1 (16 oz.) pkg. bacon (optional but good!)
3-4 large potatoes
2 (6 & 1/2 oz) cans of clams
1 can clam juice (optional to make more clammy)
1 1/2- 2 quarts milk
1 qt. halt & half
1 1/2 cup flour
1 stick of butter

Seasoning options: tobasco sauce, garlic, thyme
Yields: about 1 & 1/2 gallons of soup

chop veggies, , set aside. Dice bacon and in a deep sauce pan, cook. (this can be the pan that you are going to have all the soup in, so make it big!) Add butter. When butter is melted, add veggies. Reduce heat to medium low, cover, and let veggies sweat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add flour and simmer for another 5 minutes. Keep on low, it may burn! SLOWLY add milk and mix very well! Add about 1 cup at a time but if you add it too fast it may curdle (sp?) the milk. Add clams (and juice if you want it) and let simmer. Do NOT bring to a full boil. Stir occasionally. In seperate sauce pan add diced and seasoned potatoes and boil for about 20 minutes. Strain potaties. When soup is to a simmer, add potatoes and half & half. Season Soup. Thicken to desired consistency by adding a mixture of cornstarch and water. Enjoy!

I added some pictures of help clarify a few areas and just for fun!
The veggies chopped (don't worry if yours don't look
as good....andy is a freak of chopping...)

Starting the bacon- notice the size of the pot! HUGE!

Bacon, clams, veggies all simmering together

Chopping the potatoes
Stirring occasionally
The almost finished product (minus the potatoes)
The potatoes cooked and ready to put in.
Sorry no pictures of the final result. I guess i was
too hungry to stop and take a picture!

Silly jesse

One day Jesse was playing in his saucer, and I looked
at him and he had crumbs all over his face. I didn't
give him any crackers, but I just thought it was hilarious
that he somehow picture all of the crumbs off the saucer and
had them all over his face. He keeps me entertained!
